    Dr. Kim received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. She received her medical degree and masters in public health from Columbia University in New York, and completed her internal medicine residency training at the University of California, San Francisco. She completed a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholarship in Seattle, where she studied women's cardiovascular disease and risk factors. She worked on the Navajo reservation and initiated community-based projects. Dr. Kim is an internal medicine physician whose research focuses upon women’s health.

    Research Overview

    Dr. Kim’s research focus is on interactions between conditions unique to women’s reproductive health (contraception, pregnancy, menopause) and chronic disease, particularly diabetes and gestational diabetes, and healthcare delivery for these conditions.
