Dr. Archana Radhakrishnan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Michigan. She is a primary care physician (PCP) practicing at the Ann Arbor VA and cancer health services researcher. She received her MD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. She additionally completed a General Internal Medicine clinical research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, where she also received a Master in Health Science (MHS) from the Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Dr. Radhakrishnan’s clinical and research interests align to ultimately improve the quality of care of patients with cancer. Specifically, she focuses on understanding and optimizing the role of PCPs in the care of patients throughout the cancer continuum. Her projects include examining the role of PCPs for patients with low-risk cancers. She is the PI on a NCI-funded K08 award to develop and test an intervention to engage PCPs to support men with low-risk prostate cancer on active surveillance. Currently, Dr. Radhakrishnan is developing and implementing team-based models involving PCPs to improve cancer survivorship care delivery.
