I am interested in how sleep loss disrupts learning and memory, and how chemogenetic manipulations can possibly prevent that disruption. To further understand sex differences seen in my data, we use Brainbow virus to map the morphology of orexinergic neurons. When I am outside of lab, I enjoy spending time with friends, my cat Cajal and my dog Capi (Captain Reguero), cooking pasta, and watching movies.
