The Stefanie Galban Lab develops preclinical models of pediatric high-grade glioma and lung cancer for use in investigations of molecular therapies that target mechanisms of resistance in these malignancies.

Our laboratory is led by Dr. Stefanie Galban in the rich research environment of the Center for Molecular Imaging and the Rogel Cancer Center at the University of Michigan. The mission of our group is to develop and establish mouse models of various malignancies recapitulating human disease to develop novel therapies. Ongoing projects include investigating mechanisms of resistance to molecularly targeted and immune-based therapies utilizing imaging in cell culture and mouse models for pediatric high-grade glioma and studying the contribution of tumor microenvironment remodeling to therapeutic resistance and recurrence in non-small cell lung cancer. Our interdisciplinary studies involve a collaborative team of leading experts in oncology and imaging and industrial partners.
