Kevin C. Bergquist

Bergquist is the internal communication strategist in the executive vice president for medical affairs/dean’s office in Michigan Medicine Administration. He develops internal and external communications programs and materials for Medical School initiatives, and provides communications, administrative and project support to Medical School operations, which includes the Michigan Medicine Department of Communication. Bergquist has a B.S. in communications from Illinois State University and a M.A. in communications from Eastern Michigan University.

Medical School’s annual advancement celebration is a true ‘Neuro-fest’

Women have made significant strides in their careers at the University of Michigan — including in the fields of medicine and science — but there is work to be done. The theme echoed throughout the Celebrating the Advancement of Women in Academic Medicine and Science event on Feb. 27 in the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Auditorium at the A. Alfred Taubman Biomedical Science Research Building. The gathering celebrated women who are transforming the fields of health care, science, and education. It also included presentation of the Karin Muraszko, M.D., Advancing Women in Academic Medicine and Science Award to Eva L. Feldman, M.D., Ph.D., and Dawn O. Kleindorfer, M.D.
