Dr. Stephanie Bielas and Dr. Young Nam Park, honored with UMMS 2025 Endowment for Basic Sciences Awards
This year’s recipients received their awards on June 12 during a ceremony in the Medical School
Congratulations to two members of the Human Genetics Community for receiving the 2025 Endowment for Basic Sciences (EBS) Award.
Stephanie Bielas, PhD, received the EBS Teaching Award, and Young Nam Park, PhD, received the EBS Research Staff Award.
The EBS committee, comprising the chairs from the nine basic science departments within the Medical School, selects award winners from each department. These awards recognize both a faculty member and a research staff member for their contributions to teaching and research. This year, the recipients were honored during a ceremony held on June 12 at the Medical School.
