Sue Hammoud, PhD, Awarded "Judges Choice Award in Therapeutics" at the 6th Annual Equalize Startups Culmination Pitch Event

Diverse attendees from across the nation gathered to celebrate groundbreaking ideas and entrepreneurial excellence at the 6th Annual Equalize Startups Culmination Pitch Event.

The event kicked off with a welcome and keynote address by Nancy Briefs, serial life science CEO, followed by thirty-five talented Equalizers pitching their innovations in four exciting categories: Medical Technologies, Tools, Therapeutics, and Physical Sciences. 

Sue Hammoud, PhD, from the Department of Human Genetics, was selected as the recipient of the "Judges' Choice Award in Therapeutics". Congratulations, Dr. Hammoud, on driving change and increasing the successful participation of female academics in innovation and entrepreneurship. 

 

Out of the thirty-five talented women who pitched their innovations, the eight winners are listed below:
