About This Event

Pain is one of the most universal human experiences.  It can protect us from injury, signal when something is wrong, and, for 52 million Americans, become a chronic condition that affects every aspect of daily life. Despite its prevalence, pain remains one of medicine’s most complex challenges.

On November 19, at 2 p.m., via Zoom, join us for the next installment of the NeuroNetwork for Emerging Therapies Mini Symposium Series: “Pain Reimagined with Dr. Sanjay Gupta.”  The CNN chief medical correspondent, renowned neurosurgeon, and bestselling author will sit down with Dr. Eva L. Feldman for a thought-provoking conversation as they explore the ideas behind his new book on pain and the latest thinking about how we experience, manage, and overcome pain.

Following the recorded discussion with Dr. Gupta, Dr. Feldman will moderate a live panel with three Michigan Medicine experts—Drs. Chad Brummett, Daniel J. Clauw, and Afton L. Hassett—who will answer your questions about pain.

Register today and submit your questions for the panel.
