Identifying actionable targets
The goal of our team science is to identify actionable targets and inform strategies for interventions that will maximize the impact of precision oncology and patient-centered care to reduce the burden of cancer.
We examine gaps and disparities in communication, decision-making, and decision support between patients, their families, and their clinicians across the continuum of cancer care from prevention, treatment, and survivorship. We develop and evaluate collaborative care models between cancer specialist and primary care to address the growing demands related to active surveillance after diagnosis of cancer. We also build and evaluate decision and support tools and strategies to improve processes and outcomes of care to reduce the burden of cancer.
