    My clinical interests include bariatric surgery, benign foregut disease (achalasia, gastroesophageal reflux, paraesophageal hernias) and robotic surgery. I am actively involved in the clinical training of residents and the medical student surgical clerkship with an interest in surgical education and outcomes research.

    Surgical education:
    • How student leaners retain knowledge during clerkships.
    • The history of training surgeons.
    • The role of social media platforms in surgical education at the undergraduate and graduate level.

    • Clinical outcomes of patients with particular attention to bariatric surgery, gastroesophageal reflux disease and disparities in access to minimally
    invasive surgery.
