About
Dr. Wojtys is a graduate of the UM Medical School and a former Wolverine athlete. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Michigan. After completing a fellowship at Cincinnati Sports Medicine Center, he returned to the U-M Department of Surgery. Dr. Wojtys is the recipient of 9 Natioanl Research Awards including both the Donoghue and Excellence in Research awards from the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine for his work on female knee injuries and anterior cruciate ligament injuries. He has received multiple reserach grants from the NIH. Dr. Wojtys' most recent research includes the replacement of Anterior Cruciate Ligaments with stem cell constructs. He is the Editor-In-Chief of the Sports Health Jounral. His a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon.
