Dawn Dore-Stites

I am a pediatric psychologist in our Pediatric Elimination Disorders program and Sleep Center. Pediatric psychology blends health psychology and child/adolescent clinical psychology to help children, adolescents and their families who come to the University of Michigan for medical care.

In the Eliimination Disorders program, training in Pediatic Psychology helps me provide assessment and intervention for children and teens with chronic constipation, fecal and/or urine accidents and bedwetting along with providers in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Urology, Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy and surgery.

Within our sleep clinic, I maintain a Pediatric Behavioral Sleep clinic that delivers evidence-based interventions to help children and teens sleep better. Patients usually have comorbid medical conditions (e.g. chronic headaches, autism) and/or behavioral health symptoms (e.g. depression, anxiety, ADHD) along with sleep concerns. My goal is to help with sleep while supporting patients in receiving care for their other conditions. I also work closely with patients that are acclimating to CPAP or oxygen supplementation during sleep.
