    Dr. Hechtman is a physician–scientist whose research focuses on improving care for critically ill patients by optimizing clinical decision making through the Electronic Health Record (EHR). She studies how ICU physicians interact with electronic clinical decision support tools, using methods from cognitive and behavioral science, human factors engineering, and clinical informatics. Her work aims to apply multidisciplinary research methods to optimize clinical decision support to improve outcomes for critically ill patients.
