  • About

Dr. Piche is a spine surgeon that treats patients at the Ann Arbor, Brighton and Northville centers. He grew up in Novi, Michigan and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Michigan. He then went on to complete medical school and earn his M.D. at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Following medical school, he completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at the University of Michigan, where he developed a passion for spine surgery. He then went on to complete a combined orthopaedic-neurosurgery spine fellowship at The University of Southern California, where he was trained in all aspects of adult spine surgery, including the newest minimally invasive techniques. Following this, he was then selected for a traveling fellowship through the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS), to further his education and skillset in minimally invasive spine techniques.

Dr. Piche specializes in all aspects of adult spine care including trauma and degenerative conditions. He believes in treating patients conservatively when possible and only utilizing surgical options when absolutely needed. When patients do require surgery, he believes in minimally invasive options whenever possible in order to improve patient outcomes and experiences. His training allows him to perform all aspects of minimally invasive surgery including tubular and endoscopic surgery, and he incorporates new technology such as navigated and robotic tools to give patients the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Piche enjoys serving patients in the region he grew up in, and when he is not at the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his family, dog, and being on the lake.
