About
Dr. Thompson conducts research that seeks to understand and improve cardiovascular healthcare quality, outcomes, and policy through the application of quantitative methodologies and collaborative quality improvement. He leads Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality-funded projects that delve into understanding the determinants and outcomes of cardiac rehab and evaluating the impact of telemedicine adoption on ambulatory care quality, outcomes, and costs. He currently serves as Co-Director of the Michigan Value Collaborative (MVC) and the Michigan Cardiac Rehab Network (MiCR), Director of Analytic Strategy for the Center for Healthcare Outcomes and Policy (CHOP), and as Chair of IHPI's Early Career Faculty Advisory Council (FAC).
