About
Dr. Dailey is dedicated to helping her patients return to the activities they love. She is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in arthritis care and the treatment of knee and hip disorders, including joint replacement surgery.
Originally from Moline, Illinois, Dr. Dailey attended the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a dual degree in Government and Pre-Professional Studies (Pre-Med). Between undergraduate and medical school, she served as an AmeriCorps volunteer in San Antonio, Texas. She later returned to the Midwest to work as a research technician in the Upper Extremity Orthopaedic Research Lab at the University of Chicago. Her passion for orthopaedic surgery reflects a commitment to helping others combined with a strong interest in musculoskeletal biomechanics.
Dr. Dailey earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. She then completed a fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Following fellowship, Dr. Dailey practiced in Marin County, California for six years, where she served as Medical Director for Total Joint Replacement and Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery. She also provided care to underserved patients through a local community clinic. She and her husband, Dave, a University of Michigan alumnus, returned to the Midwest to be closer to family.
Dr. Dailey develops individualized treatment plans through a shared decision-making approach with each patient. Her research interests include outcomes of total joint replacement, resident education, and quality improvement in surgical care. She currently serves as co-director for the Michigan Arthroplasty Collaborative Quality Initiative, supporting quality improvement efforts for surgery centers across the state.
