Steven Xie, MD

Steven’s research and personal interests include increasing recruitment and retention of LGBTQ+ medical students into general surgery, improving outcomes and access to care for patients with limited English proficiency, and decreasing over treatment for low-risk thyroid cancer care. He chose to train at Michigan because the program emphasized resident education, wellness, and advancing the culture of surgery.
