Khoa earned his PhD in Stem Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. His doctoral studies focused on understanding how transcriptional heterogeneity controls mammalian embryogenesis and pluripotent stem cell identities. In the Lyssiotis lab, he is studying how metabolic interactions between cancer cells and stromal cells within the tumor microenvironment orchestrate pancreatic cancer progression.
