Acute to Chronic Pain Signatures Consortium (A2CPS) Diversity Supplement

A2CPS will collect data from patients for up to 6 months after surgery. The goal is to develop a set of biomarkers or “signatures” that can predict whether a patient will transition from acute to chronic pain or be resilient. This will allow researchers to develop more individualized treatments for patients and better understand the biological bases of pain.
