Why Train Here?

How to Apply

Sleep Fellowship Program 2021

The University of Michigan (U-M) Medical School, ranked #9 in NIH funding for FY2024. As a Sleep Medicine fellow, you will care for a diverse population of adult and pediatric patients from throughout Michigan and neighboring states. Through your fellowship training, you will gain proficiency in clinical diagnosis and management, as well as in polysomnography interpretation.

Michigan Medicine's longstanding relationship to the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Ann Arbor Medical Center gives our fellows the opportunity to serve veterans and broaden their fellowship experience. In addition to the outpatient activity, fellows gain exposure to inpatient sleep medicine consultations and have opportunities to engage with active research programs ranging from observational studies to clinical appliance and drug trials.

The University of Michigan Sleep Medicine Fellowship is one of the most well respected programs in the nation. Alumni from the Sleep Medicine Fellowship have pursued careers across the world as clinicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs in private industry. You can read more about the program in this interview with 2019-2020 Fellow Dr. Sajeer Bhura and Sleep Disorders Center pediatric neurologist Dr. Lisa Matlen on M-Health Lab.
