Weil Institute researchers awarded $1 million to improve detection of critical heart conditions
Investigators from the University of Michigan Max Harry Weil Institute for Critical Care Research and Innovation, in collaboration with the University of North Texas Health Science Center, have been awarded a highly competitive collaborative science grant from the American Heart Association (AHA) for $1 million to study the capabilities of a Weil Institute-developed wearable sensor in the early detection of critical heart conditions.

Hurley Medical Center is one of only a handful of sites across the country recognized as an official partner site of the SOCM program.
