We currently have in stock Genotek OMNIgene-Gut (OMR-200) and Genotek ONMImet-Gut (ME-200) kits that allow for individual self-collection of fecal samples for microbial community profiling.
Mailers are also available, which contain necessary materials required to ship collection tubes to study participants.
Quantification of client extracted nucleic acids can be carried out using QuantIT dsDNA PicoGreen Assay Kit or Qubit dsDNA High Sensitivity Assay Kit.
Using Applied Biosystems’ SequalPrep Normalization kit, the Microbiome Core can clean-up and pool client generated amplicons.
As part of our troubleshooting services, post-PCR amplicons can be run on E-gels in a 22-well or 96-well format.
We offer two bead cleanup services: SPRIselect beads can be used for amplicon size selection, while AMPure XP beads can be used for DNA library purification to remove salts, dNTPs, primer-dimers.
Client-prepared DNA libraries are quantified using Roche KAPA Library Quantification Kit for Illumina Systems (libraries must have the Illumina P5 and P7 oligoadaptors). This service also includes sample quality analysis using the Agilent Bioanalyzer High Sensitivity DNA Kit.
The Bioanalyzer High Sensitivity DNA Analysis Kit is used to examine the quality and size range of DNA library samples.
We can provide customized sequencing of client-prepared libraries on the Illumina MiSeq i100 Platform. The client is responsible for providing all libraries and any custom sequencing primers needed for these projects.
