The Barnett lab opened on July 1, 2025, and we are recruiting at all levels. We are building a supportive and collaborative team that is committed to high caliber scientific research.

Undergraduate Students

We are committed to training highly motivated undergraduate students, who are able to commit to joining our lab for at least one year and to 12 hours of research time per week. Please send Dr. Katherine Barnett your CV, a cover letter speaking to your research interests, and three references.

Graduate Students

We are actively seeking graduate students to join our lab. The Barnett lab is a participant in the Program in Biomedical Sciences (PIBS) through the University of Michigan Medical School and the Rackham Graduate School. If you are interested in joining our lab as a graduate student, please apply through PIBS. If you are a current PIBS student interested in our work, please reach out to Dr. Katherine Barnett.
