McCaslin Lab
Our team is dedicated to translational research in vestibular and auditory science, driven by questions that emerge directly from patient care. By bridging clinical needs with basic science, the Neurovestibular Lab aims to generate actionable insights that drive innovation in vestibular research.

The Neurovestibular Laboratory, led by Dr. McCaslin, was established in 2021 and has become a recognized center for vestibular research. Dr. McCaslin brings over 25 years of experience in the hearing and vestibular sciences. Our work spans both basic and applied science, exploring the vestibular system from multiple perspectives, including behavior, physiology, and computational modeling. We focus on both adult and pediatric populations, and apply emerging analytical tools, such as machine learning to better understand the complexity of the vestibular system.
Our goal is to identify novel directions in vestibular science by uncovering mechanisms that are often overlooked in traditional research approaches. Through interdisciplinary methods and collaboration across clinical and academic settings, we strive to generate insights that inform early detection, individualized care, and the development of next-generation diagnostics and therapies.
