We work to advance vestibular research and patient care.

Current Work

The Neurovestibular Lab is dedicated to advancing our understanding of the vestibular system and its critical role in balance, spatial orientation, and motion perception. Our research focuses on the mechanisms underlying vestibular function and dysfunction across the age span.

We integrate a range of methodologies, with growing emphasis on machine learning to uncover subtle patterns in complex data. The lab works closely with collaborators across disciplines to develop new diagnostic tools, improve treatment strategies, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.

Our Impact

Vestibular disorders affect millions of individuals worldwide and can significantly impact daily life, often leading to dizziness, vertigo, and impaired quality of life.  By bridging clinical needs with basic science, the Neurovestibular Lab aims to generate actionable insights that drive innovation in vestibular care. Our goal is to identify novel directions in vestibular science by uncovering mechanisms that are often overlooked in traditional research approaches.

Through interdisciplinary methods and collaboration across clinical and academic settings, we strive to generate insights that inform early detection, individualized care, and the development of next-generation diagnostics and therapies.
