The Department of OBGYN has a long tradition of excellence in medical student teaching and our residents are consistently recognized for their role in the student learning experience. Of the nearly 1,000 residents at U-M Medical School, our OBGYN cohort has won at least one Galen’s Medical Society Beeper Award every year. These awards honor the top 12-15 resident teachers, as voted on by our medical students across all specialties. We also have a well-established FROG program (Future Resident of Obstetrics and Gynecology), which pairs applicants with resident mentors to guide them through the application process.

Our faculty, fellows, residents, nurses, and researchers work as a team to provide excellence in Women’s Healthcare. We have borrowed a theme from another famous Michigander, Bo Schembechler, it is all about “the team, the team, the team.”
