Study Purpose
The Brain Attack Surveillance in Corpus Christi (BASIC) project is a population-based stroke surveillance project of a non-immigrant community of Mexican Americans and non-Hispanic whites in Nueces County, Texas. The project investigates stroke outcomes including cognition and physical functioning.
