Sleep for Stroke Management and Recovery Trial (Sleep SMART)

Study Purpose

This phase III, open-label, blinded-endpoint assessment, multicenter, randomized, controlled trial will test the effect of treatment of obstructive sleep apnea with continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines after acute ischemic stroke reduces mortality and cardiovascular events and improves stroke recovery.
