Steven Tuch, MBA
Biographical Profile
Steven Tuch, MBA, currently serves as the Co-Head of Healthcare Equity Capital Markets at Mizuho Group. Previously, he served as the CFO of vTv Therapeutics, a late-stage, public biotechnology company. The company is focused on developing an oral, small-molecule drug candidate as an adjunct therapy with Insulin to help prevent hypo- and hyperglycemia in people living with type 1 diabetes. Steven also served as the Head of Corporate Development at RallyBio, responsible for leading the team through its IPO process, culminating in a public offering in July of 2021. Rally, which is merging with Candid Therapeutics, is focused on the rare disease space. Its lead program is a C5 inhibitor for patients with complement-mediated diseases.
Steven also serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Yale University. At Yale, he advises faculty on transferring academic research into venture-backed companies across life sciences and medtech. This includes providing strategic guidance on value proposition, market positioning, and early business model development. In this role, Steven provides support for venture readiness through feedback on pitch materials, investor strategy, and preparation for early-stage fundraising. He has also served as a judge at Pitchfest ’25, a platform for Yale faculty innovators to present their research. Pitchfest is part of the Blavatnik Fund for Innovation at Yale, which supports the commercialization of research in biotech and medtech.
Steven previously served as the Head of Healthcare Equity Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank and at BMO Capital Markets. He received his B.B.A. from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from Stanford University.
