AI in Healthcare: Notification and Consent Preferences Based on U.S. National Survey
There are strong public expectations for transparency and control over artificial intelligence (AI) use in healthcare settings. A clear majority of U.S. adults want either to provide explicit permission (45-54%) or at least be notified (32-39%) before AI tools are used in their care, whether for clinical decision-making, routine documentation, or administrative functions.
