Making a Difference

Dr. Hammer came to the University of Michigan in 1999. In his tenure thus far, he has received 50 grants ranging from University sponsored awards, private awards for clinical trials and research, and federally funded initiatives. 

Dr. Hammer has also been entrusted by several private donors to move the research mission forward into deeper understanding of this rare cancer, new discoveries and improved patient outcomes.
