Donor Impact

Learn how donor generosity impacts our research

New research holds exceptional promise for treating conditions that cause bone marrow failure and severe anemia, like Diamond Blackfan Anemia syndrome (DBAS). Our studies have uncovered changes in lipid pathways in developing red blood cells in our DBAS disease model. Our long-term goal is to understand how these pathways affect red blood cell development so we can provide targeted, safer therapies to patients with DBAS and other common types of anemia. Additionally, we are interested in studying the role of ribosomal dysfunction in cancer predisposition.

With help from our donors, we are able to keep our innovative studies moving forward. Your generous support of our collaborative research will have a long-term impact on improving treatments for patients suffering from these diseases.
