Shoulder pain affects millions of individuals worldwide and can lead to significant disability. Shoulder symptoms accounted for an estimated 10.7 million ambulatory care visits to physician offices in the United States in 2013. An estimated 272,148 surgeries were performed for rotator cuff disorders in 2006. Our research group is dedicated to answering questions that are important to patients with shoulder disorders with the goal of improving shoulder function and quality of life.
