Our goal is to accelerate scientific discovery to alleviate suffering in neurological diseases.
Our work in recent years highlights that we will not reach this goal alone. Every day, we work with a passionate, innovative, diverse, multidisciplinary team of researchers and physician-scientists at the forefront of biomedical research.
We draw upon our expertise and our innovative collaborations, both within the University of Michigan and worldwide, to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery and support emerging therapies for neurological diseases.
Join us on April 25, 2025, for a remarkable afternoon honoring philanthropist Edith Briskin that shines a light on the contributions of women to advancing the cause of medical science and care in the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Auditorium of the A. Alfred Taubman Biomedical Science Research Building. Keynote speakers include National Academy of Medicine President Victor Dzau, M.D., Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, U.S. Reps. Debbie Dingell and Haley Stevens, and University of Michigan Provost Laurie McCauley, DDS.
Interdisciplinary collaboration allows us to leverage advanced technologies with our colleagues in genetics, physiology, environmental science, and bioinformatics. This synergy drives breakthroughs in our understanding of brain health and brain diseases. Our partnerships will lead to more personalized and effective treatment options for our patients.
The NeuroNetwork for Emerging Therapies celebrated the generosity of James and Marge Hiller, Linda Hiller Novak, and Eric Novak, and the installation of Stephen Goutman, M.D., M.S., as the inaugural Harriet Hiller Research Professor at a ceremony and reception on the Michigan Medicine campus.
Your help will advance cutting-edge research in brain health, ALS, and the neurologic complications of diabetes and obesity, with the goal of translating knowledge gained in the laboratory into new therapies.
