Elevating Perioperative Education:
Developed in partnership with our Nursing Educators, the RMM-Lab's educational intervention is an interactive training module designed to enhance best practices in intraOperative Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation and error reporting among operating room nurses. This program empowers our staff to practice essential skills in a safe environment through engaging, scenario-based learning that mirrors the complexities of real surgical procedures. By focusing on practical application, we ensure our nurses are well-prepared to handle unexpected challenges in the OR.
Primary Partners in Action:
- Paula Marentay, RN, ENC (Chair of the Surgical Count Accountability & Practice Committee)
- Jillian Bowers, RN, ENC (Lead Ambulatory Education Nurse Coordinator)
- Carrie Kalowick, RN, ENC (Lead Education Nurse Coordinator)
- Staff & Leadership of the MichMed Perioperative Services Department
