Application Review & Interview Process

Virtual Interview Process

All interviews will be conducted virtually this year, scheduled on dates throughout October, November, December, and January. Further opportunities to connect—including additional virtual hours happy hours and Second looks will be announced with invitations. Stay tuned for more details!

Second Look (In-Person Event)

Want to experience Ann Arbor and tour our facilities? We are excited to offer Second Look in-person events this winter for all applicants. These visits are entirely optional and serve to help you get to know our community and campus better as you make your decision.

More details about Second Look opportunities and the registration process will be shared in January, following the completion of virtual interviews.

Please note: Attendance at Second Look events will not influence your ranking in our Match process. The University of Michigan Emergency Medicine Residency Program finalizes its Rank Order List (ROL) prior to these events, and we have no knowledge of who attends before our ROL is submitted and certified. Our commitment to fairness ensures the ROL remains unchanged throughout the recruitment season without exception.
