Neurosurgery Residency Curriculum
The Neurosurgery Residency Program at the University of Michigan Medical School is an immersive seven-year training experience that comprehensively prepares aspiring neurosurgeons. This program offers a unique emphasis on research, with an exceptional feature of two years dedicated exclusively to research pursuits.
Over the course of this seven-year training program, residents receive advanced education encompassing the entire spectrum of neurosurgery, spanning outpatient and inpatient settings. A noteworthy component is the inclusion of five months of intensive care unit training, enriching their understanding of critical care management.
