Faculty Membership
To become an MNI Member, faculty applicants must:
- Hold an active primary faculty appointment in a University of Michigan department.*
- Demonstrate a track record of peer-reviewed research in the neurosciences.
- Exhibit a commitment to supporting and engaging with the University of Michigan’s neuroscience community.
Faculty membership offers the following benefits:
- Opportunities to collaborate and engage with an interdisciplinary community of neuroscientists across the university.
- Access to a comprehensive resource database, featuring information on transgenic animal lines, tissue repositories, viral vectors, and more.
- Grant-writing support, including access to internal review processes.
- Mentoring opportunities for early- and mid-career faculty members.
- Eligibility to apply for MNI internal funding awards.
- A professional profile on the MNI website, along with support to enhance your research visibility.
- Involvement in selecting and inviting speakers for neuroscience seminars.
- Ability to post neuroscience-related job openings (such as postdoctoral and staff positions) on the MNI website.
* MNI members will maintain their academic appointments in their home department, not within MNI.
Postdoc Membership
MNI provides a community for current neuroscience postdoctoral fellows working within MNI member labs, offering social, professional and networking opportunities. The community is funded by MNI and is led by its members.
