The University of Michigan Medical School was the beneficiary of funds for the establishment of the Ronald C. and Nancy V. Bishop Lectureship in Bioethics. Both were graduates of the University of Michigan Medical School (Class of ’44). Ronald Bishop joined the U-M Medical School faculty in 1951 and pursued a career in research, teaching, and patient care in the Department of Internal Medicine, Hematology Division, until his retirement in 1987. The Woll Family Speaker Series is a monthly talk by national leaders exploring the intersection of health, spirituality and religion. It is open to medical trainees, faculty and the general public. The speakers represent the diversity of this broad field and have included writers, clergy, doctors and academics. The content is different than the typical bioreductionist perspective that is inherent to much of medical school curriculum.
The CHHASSEM Symposium features research presentations across multiple disciplines.
Working group meetings provide an opportunity for investigators to receive feedback on research proposals, drafts of papers, grant applications, or any other aspects of projects at any stage of development. This meeting is designed as an informal working group not a formal presentation. For more details look under the How We Can Help section.
To see the schedule for upcoming meetings please check the Events calendar. The next working group meeting is listed below.
If you are interested in scheduling or have questions please contact Amy @ [email protected]du
Summer working group meetings will only be scheduled as requested. Our regularly scheduled series resumes in the Fall.
