CDI-Metabolism, Obesity, Nutrition & Diabetes Symposium
2026 Annual Symposium
A forum for intellectual exchange on topics associated with diabetes, obesity & metabolism
Welcome to the 2026 Caswell Diabetes Institute Metabolism, Obesity, Nutrition and Diabetes Symposium
The CDI Metabolism, Obesity, Nutrition and Diabetes Symposium provides a forum for intellectual exchange on topics related to diabetes, obesity, metabolism, and related complications among established investigators, junior faculty, students, and other researchers at the University of Michigan (U-M) and in the surrounding areas. This symposium features invited speakers and a poster session, providing time for discussion and exploration of new collaborations. Speakers include a combination of researchers of international stature from outside of U-M and junior and senior faculty within the University. Symposium participants will enhance their knowledge and understanding of the latest advances in basic, translational and clinical research, as well as in the care and treatment of diabetes, obesity, metabolism and related complications. After this activity, participants will be able to elucidate and predict clearer causes of diabetes and metabolic diseases and utilize this information to guide future research. The target audience includes physicians, house officers, medical students, technicians, administrators and other healthcare professionals.
