Section of Plastic Surgery
Our focus on excellence extends across our patient care, education and research programs.
Our Tradition of Excellence in Plastic Surgery
The U-M Medical School Section of Plastic Surgery stands as one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive divisions. Whether you're looking for an undergraduate program, advanced fellowships, or anywhere in between, you'll gain confidence in treating a variety of conditions through hands-on learning. We offer skilled, team-based care for a wide range of outpatient procedures and major operations, with specialties in cleft lip and palate, craniofacial surgery and hand surgery.
Our research complements our approach to patient care and is focused on improving surgical outcomes, including prosthetic limb development, mastectomy reconstruction, and bone healing.
Michigan Promise
The Michigan Promise aims to empower faculty members and residents in the Department of Surgery to achieve professional success. We support initiatives connected to environment, recruitment, leadership, achievement, innovation and outreach.
