Since its establishment in 1967, the U-M Medical School Department of Internal Medicine Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine has become one of the largest and most successful divisions in the country. With over 85 faculty, advanced practice providers, trainees, and support staff, our division offers a wide range of clinical, educational, and research programs and opportunities. Our division's goal, since the beginning, is to provide cutting-edge and compassionate care to older adults and those with serious illnesses, while also advancing the fields of geriatric and palliative medicine through innovative research and education.
