Structural Heart Disease Fellowship
The Structural Heart Disease Fellowship Program at the U-M Medical School Department of Internal Medicine Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is a one-year, non-ACGME accredited advanced fellowship training program available to fellows who have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease and an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
The program will consist of 1 fellow per year, 12 months in duration, beginning on July 1 of the academic year.

MESSAGE FROM THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR
The program will provide specialized training to fellows as independent operators in non-coronary cardiac interventional procedures, encompassing all aspects of structural heart disease. This will include transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR); transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve replacement and repair; pulmonic valve replacement, ASD and PFO closures; mitral and aortic balloon valvuloplasty, paravalvular leak; and atrial appendage closure.
Teaching will be conducted at the Frankel Cardiovascular Center in both the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the Robert and Ann Aikens Hybrid Suite. The Frankel Cardiovascular Center was the first U.S. hospital outfitted with the Siemens ARTIS Pheno, a new robotic C-arm angiography system, located on the Michigan Medicine Campus in Ann Arbor.

Next available positions will begin July 1, 2025. The deadline to submit applications is October 30, 2024. Interviews will be held (virtually) in November/December 2024.

**Please note that prior Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship training is a pre-requisite of the program.
